Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will be operating direct flights to Iceland from both Barcelona and Rome this summer.

Operations will continue through to September. The Rome route – launched last summer – will in 2016 be operated twice a week. According to Icelandic travel and tourism website Turisti.is (link in Iceland), fares from the Italian capital start at €95 (approx. ISK 13,000).

Vueling’s network means that passengers from Iceland will be able to make through-bookings via Barcelona and Rome to a wide range of destinations in Southern Europe.
