Photographer Birta Rán Björgvinsdóttir has a photoblog called Streets of Reykjavik where you can find anything from colourful hipsters to cats.
She's featured in Morgunblaðið's fashion supplement today and explains that she began taking photos at age eleven. "I'm from Borgarnes and I always found going to Reykjavik quite exciting, to see all the different characters there."
A lot of the photos now are of tourists and Björgvinsdóttir has noticed the rapid rise of tourists between years. "It's a bit sad that most of the people in downtown Reykjavik now are tourists."
