Iceland's Euro 2016 success more famous than Eyjafjallajökull

The success of Iceland's national football team in the Euro 2016 championships is creating more promotion for Iceland than the volcanic eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 according to figures from Google Trends.
Interest in Iceland has increased twentyfold compared to usual in the last week and it has never been greater.
This was pointed out by the analysis division of Arion Bank. The most googled sentence is "What to do in Iceland" and the words "Iceland" and "Northern Lights and "Iceland football team."
The eruption in Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 threw volcanic ash several kilometres up into the atmosphere and caused travel disruption in North West Europe for six days.
