A protest against the government has been organised and over six thousand people have said to be attending on the Facebook event. The event is titled " A revolution" and calls for the public to topple the government which, on the event page it says," Is causing  permanent, irrevocable damage to Icelandic society."

People are urged to bring keys to rattle and to bring the message that the keys which the government holds to Iceland's future should be revoked. 

The protest takes place at Austurvöllur, at the parliament square at 5 p.m, today, Tuesday.
