The ice skating rink sponsored by telecommunications company Nova opens at 7 pm on December 1st in the Reykjavik city centre. The rink is extremely popular with children during the Christmas season.

The ice skating rink is a cooperation between Nova, the City of Reykjavik and Samsung and will be open daily from midday to 10 pm daily until December 24th.

The ice skating rink is next to the Ingólfstorg Christmas village and is decorated with lights and old-fashioned Christmas tunes are played.  Ice skating rental is available and guests can purchase hot chocolate and snacks in the nearby stalls.

The ice skating rink is free of charge for those who bring their own skates but those who need to rent a helmet and skates pay 990 ISK per hour.
