Guided tour with former Reykjavik Mayor available for 4.800 USD

A new guided tour called From Punk to Politics offers a tour with former mayor Jón Gnarr available to five people at a time for 4.800 USD. 

Each person therefore has to pay the equivalant of 100 thousand Icelandic kronas for the tour. 

Tour company Iceland Iceland unplugged offers the tours and bookings are going well, they say. 

Jón Gnarr, like many Icelanders has therefore jumped on the tourist wagon as a means to make money. This autumn he posted on Facebook that he was looking for a job for one million ISK per month for a 50 % workload. If the new tour guide option turns out well he could well be reaching that goal.
