Short break between storms today in Iceland
Today is a calm and fairly clear day in Iceland following yesterday's storm, but tomorrow a new area of low pressure will reach the country and another storm is to hit tomorrow night in South and West Iceland
Yesterday morning's storm in Reykjavik caused trampolines and even a hot tub to become airborne. SAR teams worked hard helping people out in the storm, securing roof tiles and other loose objects.
The Iceland Met Office would therefore like to remind people to secure all loose objects in gardens or on balconies before the storm hits on Thursday night.
Further storms are expected on the weekend, the worst hitting Iceland on Saturday night.
