Flóðbylgjuviðvörun var gefin út í Alaska í kjölfar skjálftans, sem var ð á 25 km dýpi um 300 km suðaust­ur af Kodiak. A tsunami warning was issued this morning in Alaska after an earthquake occured 300 km South East of Kodiak.

 The huge earthquake detected off the coast of Alaska this morning was clearly detected on Icelandic seismographs. The earthquake measured 7.9 in magnitude. 

The earthquake was originally measured at 8.2 on the Richter scale and a tsunami warning was issued. This warning has now been lowered to green
