Storm begins at noon today - yellow weather warnings for South Iceland
An area of low depression is approaching Iceland from the south and winds will pick up at noon, accompanied by rain. A yellow weather warning has been issued from 3 pm as wind gusts beneath Eyjafjöll and in Öræfi can reach over 35 m/s.
As the day progresses, winds will also pick up in other parts of the country, and tonight a storm is expected in the West Fjords accompanied by snow.
A storm with snow is expected tomorrow in North and North East Iceland with winds up to 35 m/s and poor visibility and driving conditions.
