First snow of the season in Reykjavik this morning
Reykjavik locals woke up to see a coat of white this morning as the first snow of winter arrived during the night. The snowfall is light so should not cause any interruption to traffic, at least for vehicles already equipped with winter tyres.

The snowfall began last night at midnight and early this morning, slow ploughs were dispatched to clear major roads. Today the weather is mild and clear in the capital but winds are expected this afternoon in North West Iceland.
