Tourist gravely injured after fall at Gullfoss waterfall

The National Coastguard Helicopter transported a woman to hospital late yesterday afternoon after she fell on rocks by the falls and hit her head. An eye witness told mbl.s that her injuries were very serious.
South Iceland police have confirmed that the coastguard helicopter brought her to hospital in Reykjavik at 5 pm.
