Measles vaccinations take place in Reykjavik

 Parents of children aged 6 - 18 months in Reykjavik have been urged to have them vaccinated against measles. The directorate of health is offering measles vaccinations to children and adults born after 1970 following recent cases of measles in the city. Five cases of measles have been reported since February 18th.

The health authorities have said that mostly Icelandic children have turned up for vaccinations as perhaps parents of non-Icelandic children have not read about the incentive and the measles cases in English. 

So here goes: Measles vaccinations will be offered in Reykjavik health care centres between 12 and 15 tomorrow, Monday.
