Man Falls to His Death: Five Arrested

Since last night, police have been interrogating five men, arrested yesterday afternoon after a man fell to his death from the balcony of an apartment building in Úlfarsárdalur in Reykjavík, mbl.is reports.
The man was transported to Landspítali National University Hospital after police received notice between 2 and 3 pm that he had fallen off the second-story balcony. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
The deceased was a foreign citizen, as are the five men arrested.
No information is available regarding what led to the tragedy. Police had to break the lock of the second-story apartment to get inside. Underneath the balcony, there is another floor and under it a garage, making the fall considerable.
The five men were arrested inside the apartment. Police investigated the scene yesterday and completed work outside the building by evening.
It has not yet been revealed whether extended police custody of the five men will be requested. Police can detain the men for 24 hours before submitting such a request.
