Icelandic PM and Minister of Environment head to Helsinki Climate Change summit

 Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland and Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson Minister for the Environment and natural resources headed to Helsinki today to attend the climate change mini summit taking part there. 

The mini-summit is being hosted by Finland’s Prime Minister Juha Sipilä and Environment MinisteKimmo Tiilikainen, and among the goals are getting Sweden, Iceland, Denmark and Norway to boost cooperation on low-carbon solutions and to speed up the timetable for a carbon neutral Nordic region.

The Icelandic PM will also be meeting Juha Sipilä tomorrow morning for a private meeting and visit the Aalto University in Helsinki.  Guðbrandsson will be meeting privately with Tiilikainen tomorrow.
