Micro algae and the future of food production is the subject of our first English podcast episode about VAXA Impact Nutrition. What are algae and what can they use it for? Why is it important to our planet? Can you actually make a healthier blue beer from algae? Why is the plant located in Iceland? We talked to Christian Schröter, PM and Einar P. Einarsson, Electrical Engineer from Mannvit about the algae patented technology cultivation by VAXA they've been working on.
The VAXA production facility uses the natural outputs of the Hellisheidi geothermal power plant located near VAXA, including renewable energy, cold and hot non-marine water, and carbon dioxide to grow algae.
